i'm native san franciscoan also. i live in the sun se. my husband and i are raising our three daughters in the city i am a former prosecutor with the san francisco district attorney office. and one of fast vorite things to do is to get to be the neighborhood prosecutor and so i am very familiar with the great community partnerships and the legacy of the chiefs who respect the community's ability to help to solve problems together and i think that is just really great about coming out to these meetings. for my day job, now, i, like dr. marshal, i work in the bay view for a non-profit for the center of youth wellness. where we are trying to improve the health of children who have been exposed to abuse in the home. and i encourage you, now is your time, sometimes we will hear issues that come up at community meetings and get followed up with the department and things change and since you have taken the time to be here tonight, we encourage you and we would forward to hearing what you have to say. >> i am tom mazzucco. and i was born is raised

i am a native san franciscoan as well. and i have watched over the years the law library shrink from the last 30 years to where i represented prisoners in county jail as directing attorney of legal services as helping the sheriff's department administration using the law library, and currently as a sole practitioner doing worker's comp for injured workers, but there are thousands that i am unable to help because the hours spent i could not possibly, i would be out on the streets as my kids have said. but i am able to always direct them to the law library. i am able to use the resources of the law library that i could not afford if i had to do it on my own and i urge you not to not cut the space any further than it has been done, thank you. >> good morning my name is ray sloan and i use the library on a regular basis and a friend of the coalition of concerned legal professionals. law library serves the low income community that concerned professional or legal professionals and the organization deals with daily as well as th

felt passionate enough to come, my name is dennis nava and i am just a joe citizen, a native san franciscoan, and when i found out that the public law library was having issues it really astounded me. i recently because i had questions, and was unable to afford an aattorney, had made use of the public libraries actually several entities in san francisco, which are now finding are no longer available to the public. the market street location has been closed from last march from my understanding and hasting is no longer allowing the public to use the public library and to believe that the city that hosts the 9th kir circuit is not going to have a public library available to look at laws that are governing just astounded me. so i am listening to these attorneys and these para legals and i am like wow, if we are having problems who am i to stand here and say look is this something that no one else is seeing? this should be our constitutional right, our legal accessibility to look at these laws, whether i have a computer or not. focus group that you met on and it is a large group and a good group but it is almost entirely san franciscoans from the area. as opposed to getting some focus groups with businesses inside and outside of san francisco. because if you plan to build and increase an office space, maybe you better ask the businesses would you like broader floor plates or narrower, or what sort of a market is there for what you are trying to build? we would like to include other parts of the city and that is what the planning commission is for but it is important that we have a bigger turn out for these hearings for the people throughout san francisco and they are concerned about what is going on in these areas and they probably have ideas about how they could best be shaped too. and i think that is important. and a couple of ideas that i have, you have got an area that is a little bit tough on pedestrians, and transportation needs are important and you have got these broad blocks that were built for industry and most of the time i am down there and traffic is racing by, real fast and it is not really pleasant to w
