i never lived in san fransisco, but i've visited here for extended period. i make it a point to come to city lights. it's neat to be here this this capacity. i appreciate it. originally my plan was to read the first four or five pages of the book and have a wide-ranging discussion. i decided not to do that. i did this event last week in atlanta, and in order to read the type, i have to hold the book this close to my face, and that's awkward. i don't know if my eyes are deuterating or masturbation. [laughter] what i'm going to do instead is just talk through the introduction very carefully, but i want to pass around underground newspapers. there's people here who know about the underground press, but maybes others are not as familiar. they are rare, but not that rare. you can buy these for $15-$20 any day of the week on e bay, and they are delicate, but not so much you can't handle them. this is the los angeles free press, considered to be the first underground newspaper in the 60s that started running in 1964, and that issue is from 1965. what's interesting

tonight looking good over the city of san fransisco. mostly clear skies.atchy fog on the coast hien. still, high pressure digging into the bay area. get a sense of the flow here. low brought the showers yesterday, a ridge building in time for the weekend. so not a heat wave for the weekend but so far it's been dry than will continue for tomorrow. should be mostly sunny. few degrees warmer as we head into the afternoon mid-60s. coast line, cool side, patchy fog and temperatures in the 50s and 60s. 47 in napa right now, 49 in vail and some of the winds condition to blow. around the state warmer weather in the interior valley, 67 in sacramento, you want to get up to do skiing in looking good up there. the road way the nice and clear. they have a ton of snow. i saw the squaw valley had 700 inches of snow for the season. that is an all-time record for them. something else up there. partly cloudy skies as we look toward money if you want to ski up there, slushy mix the following day as on monday we're expecting showers and mixture of snow. prepare for spring ski
