kimberly tere live in san hose sway a look at which fire stations might end up closing and which neighborhood could be affected. kimberly? >> reporter: city is hoping to mitigate some of the impacts from these layoffs by moving resources to where they are needed the most. we can tell that you fire station number 33, this is located on top of communications hill, will be shut down on sunday. three other stations will have smaller staff and less equipment. now the city has been working with the firefighters union and in an attempt to prevent these layoffs but they are at an impasse right now. they are still millions apart on an agreement and don't have any new talks scheduled. as a result, 51 firefighters will lose their jobs as the city tries to close as 118 million gap. daryl sales is one of those being laid off. he has only been on the job six months. >> i'm going to go to work with, i'm going to enjoy my last day, not happy about it being my last day. i will enjoy it, it have fun i will enjoy it, have fun with those guys and hopefully get to run some calls and help some people in the commun
