that's not the case this afternoon because this low pressure area, which is now sitting over the san joaquin river valley worked it way from north to south. sometimes that low follows about six hours behind the front. and in this case it moved right over the bay area, destabilizing the atmosphere. we went from sunny to stormy in a matter of minutes for those in san francisco, around 3:00, pouring by 4:15. futurecast tomorrow morning, we're clear of the view of the diablo range towards mount hamilton, likely a little snowy. sunshine throughout the day, tomorrow will be the mildest and the sunniest day for the entire week because wednesday, here comes the cloud cover in the morning. wednesday, here comes the rain in the north bay for the evening. thursday, we'll likely be the wettest day we've had since mid- january with up to an inch of rainfall possible thursday. not expecting any hail or stormy weather, just widespread beneficial rainfall. and up to an inch or more of rainfall by saturday with two to three feet of snow in the sierra. so wonderful news in the mountains and also around here.
