ktvu san reuben joining us now live from san jose, and it was the operators of a busy taco truck whopped in to help out here. yes this truck has quite the crowd at lunchtime and when those people saw the commotion in the parking lot, they say they knew they had to do something. san jose. police say this man tyrone merit car a minivan in broad daylight with the driver, her adult daughter and six year old granddaughter all inside because he entered from the rear sliding door of a minivan. she was able to drive on in a panic state made it just a couple blocks down the street . the victim made it to a gas station at the intersection of capital and crop lee, where she tried to escape. authorities say merit began chasing her as the tuesday lunch crowded a nearby taco truck looked on the subject. it was confrontational . obviously try to take control of the vehicle, and at that time, additional callers started coming in reporting the incident as he was chasing her around the car trying to get towards the driver's door. that's when the bystanders sprung into action, calling 911 and trying to
