san jose. beautiful blue skies out there. just a gorgeous day. temperatures collecting some pretty nice numbers here. 64 in san jose. but 67 in fremont and hey, we just hit 71 in pittsburgh. look at that. we're going up there in a few spots where it's 70 in vacaville to looks like 70 in nevado, though. and 69 in sandra fell. so everyone getting in on the party here we are between 2 pressure systems. one is low pressure to the north and west of us and some high pressure kind of to the south of us right now. and so between those we are getting more influence right now from the high pressure. that's what's keeping the skies nice and clear. that's why we've got such incredible visibility here. it's also are going to see these temperatures. this is inland temperatures. the next 5 days be well above average. so get ready. we've got a nice red of temps heading our way. let's talk about this that we are what i like to call in the zone here zone. all right. now between those 2 pressure systems, that's what's keeping things mild as we go into our thursday. notice a little cut off low kinda dips right off the coast. it's gonna

right now we've got mid 60s on the map in south san jose 65, danville 61, san mateo 60 degrees. napa is at 64. san francisco still at a cool 59. and today is day one of the warm up that is already underway. that will lead us into the weekend. and f comparison purposes, i do want to show you what today's daytime highs were compared to what an average day usually looks like. around this time of year, santa rosa hit a high of 71. the average high is about 63, concord 68. the average high is 64. now, we're not expecting to hit any record highs this weekend, but by tomorrow the 70 will make an impact. and that's going to bring a big difference in what our average highs are by as much as 10 to 15 degrees into next week. all right. let's take a look at satellite. you'll notice to our north we do have a system that low pressure is going to try to drop down. bringing us some cloud cover and early morning fog for san francisco. but we'll get some partial clearing through the afternoon, a mix of sunshine and advancing this through saturday into sunday. i do want to bring this note in. we do have a sligh

in the north bay, where we are going to see more clouds coming in 62 degrees in napa and 64 degrees in san jose but then by thursday, look at the bounce back that we'll see with highs in the upper 60s for concord, as well as 68 degrees in santa rosa. so we are headed for some warmer weather. w we're talking about 60 here. while much of the rest of the country is seeing single digit high temperatures. so look at kansas city, the high today, four degrees. i mean, this is just ridiculous with this bitter cold air, this arctic air that's pushing all the way into the south. so this is what you can call your family and say, hey, it's going to be in the 60s here. i know it will be in the 20s there where you are. and we're also dealing with this snow storm that's been moving across the midwest and unfortunately, kind of slowing down the efforts of the cleaning up the flood. we are going to see this quick moving system moving in here tomorrow. so we start out tomorrow morning with some clouds in the north bay. we see a broken line of showers moving through, and it continues to weaken as it passes throug

into tonight, not just for san francisco, but you're likely already seeing that kind of mix between the sunshine and the clouds, right about 64 degrees right now in san jose. notice we're not going to get too cold in the overnight lows. no freeze warnings or anything of the sort. but here's where we can expect to see that rain. so advances overnight into early tomorrow morning. notice is at around 715. a lot of the areas dipping in through santa rosa, san rafael, maybe some light activity for san francisco and around the coastline. but the amounts are really going to stretch more towards areas in the north. notice down through the south bay it says some scattered activity, but a lot of us likely won't even get to see that we're talking rain totals right now, a couple hundredths of an inch, if that, for most of even the north bay. notice here, so trace amounts for most as that system is a bit more to the north. but once we get that system passing through heading into thursday, we will notice an increase in the wind speeds. so i just want to give you a heads up. you're going to notice wind gusts could get upwards of 30 plus for some of those higher elevatio
