you're keeping an eye on san jose. >> they are doing well in san jose. we're looking at some of these commutes. 87, we heard about an injury crash on 87 near 280. we looked for it and we didn't see it. it doesn't mean it's not there but it looks like the traffic is getting by fine into the downtown area, so is 280 traffic. out to a little bit farther north, this is the bay bridge toll plaza, the backup is out to the end of the parking lot, meeterring lights on. nothing major, a 10-minute delay, it looks good into san francisco. the commute at livermore not that bad out of tracy. 6:08, let's go to rosemary. >> i want to start with the numbers. overnight lows becoming more comfortable. 51 in oakland. 40 in fairfield, 43 napa, the first 30-degree mark i've seen all morning long. santa rosa slipping before 40 in the last half hour, 39 degrees right now. 51 in mountain view. notably, mild as you get outside this morning, a look at the pacific satellite view with the ridge of high pressure off the west coast but continuing to nudge in and as it does it's going

you can see those areas of mid and low level clouds here across san jose. kind of a beautiful picture. we've had so much sunshine this year we get any clouds like this and it's a nice change for us. also in san francisco, it's gray. we do have winds 5 to 15 miles per hour but most importantly for tonight if you do have plans it is going to stay dry. a real interesting pattern shaping up. the storm system really hasn't been this size getting this close to us for probably a month, month and a half at this point. a huge area of low pressure soeshl associated with a cold front dropping in the pacific. we also have subtropical moisture tapping in from hawaii streaming in. there's a lot of dynamics with this that would ordinarily provide us with a strong storm system but the one thing that's going to be lacking is strong upper level dynamics. we'll get moisture in here but it doesn't look like it will squeeze out some of the heaviest rainfall of 2013. so do expect rainfall but don't expect a huge deluge across the bay area. we'll find temperatures in the 50s at t

right now 49 in san mateo. 46 in n 0 ovato. 52 in san jose.san jose, our live sky camera network shows clear conditions up above but we do have plenty of haze as that sun sets for tonight but we're going to start to clear out that air quality with our storm as it arrives on tuesday. let's get a look tuesday, tomorrow morning, clouds in the north bay. down to the south bay and even back to the east bay. a dry start to the day. throughout the evening hours we'll get that rain advancing through the north bay first, 5:00, 6:00, and 7:00, novato and then that rain will be pushing down to the south bay where we could see a quarter to a half inch. also the sierra snow. some of the biggest snow we have seen this year arriving as we head throughout tuesday and also wednesday. most of that happening up above 4,000 feet where we could see a foot or more anywhere near blue canyon, also to king veil. so be prepared for those winter conditions as we head throughout tuesday's forecast. otherwise, as you mentioned, cloudy for most of your day tomorrow. i don'

this morning, san jose police telling us a deadly stabbing in san jose's almaden valley neighborhood appears ton an isolated incident. officers found a man in his early 20s stabbed to death near the entrance of guadalupe oak grove park yesterday afternoon. last night, homicide investigators combed through the neighborhood looking for any kind of evidence and trying to track down witnesses who may have been around at the time of the event. but so far, nobody under arrest. and police have not yet released a description of any potential suspect. >>> new details about two separate stabbings in san francisco overnight. police say in the first stabbing, it happened about 2:20 this morning on mission street near the 16th street b.a.r.t. station. here's a map to give you some perspective. a man in his 30s was taken to san francisco general hospital with at least one stab wound. then about an hour later, a man was stabbed near the intersection of 26th and folsom streets. he's listed in serious condition, also at san francisco general. police don't think the two stabbings are related. >>> comi
