a deadly police shooting in san jose. it happened late last night on central road just north of capital expressway and kiet do is at the scene to tell us what's -- what we know so far. kiet? >> reporter: yes, good morning, this is located in a strip mall as you said here just on center road a little north of capitol expressway. the officers have been here sense about 10:00 last night. that's when san jose police investigators say a couple of officers caught up with a male suspect. they were doing a follow-up on a previous investigation. we don't know exactly what that was. but they made contact with that suspect and then all of a sudden, that man reached for a gun. two officers drew their guns fired a couple of shots. the suspect was hit and then he was pronounced dead here at the scene. no other injuries reported. that is all we know for now. we're being told that a public information officer will be coming out here to give us another briefing. but for now, a lot of officers on scene here a very wide area has been cordon
