we're tracking the crash in san jose. the first update we have is westbound 80 as you commute into san francisco, a crash at fremaunlt street, one of your first off ramps getting into the city. we see the slowing just popping up in the last five minutes. we'll expect a slower drive from treasure island. no metering lights yet, but they may turn them on five minutes early to slow traffic into the city. we'll track that closely. northbound 101 starting to jam up here. our photographer matt is trying to avoid this backup and said old monterey road is also jammed up getting to the area. let me show you what waze shows us. two lanes are blocked up there, right here at bernal, and that's jamming up the interchange. waze has mapped up two other routes toward bailey and san jose sxking at about a 20-mbt drive if you take highway 85 and 101 through the crash. if you take alternate roadways the surface streets are more crowded right now. if you choose to stay on the freeway, a wiser choice. we had wazers like jb kidd report that one
