( darya ) in the north bay... santa rosa police arrested 4 teens for a violent assault at maria carrillo high school. this happened back on august 5th in the parking lot of the school. police say three 18-year-old girls and a 17-year-old boy confronted the victim about her social media posts. then they started punching and kicking her... and one of the attacked even tased the victim in the head. police say the boy involved in this... pulled out a gun to stop anyone from trying to help the victim. climate scientists in san jose are working hard to provide more tools to help firefighters deal with the erratic nature of wildfires. a team from san jose state universitynes to make future fire forecasts more accurate. abc 7 news reporter david louie takes a look at what they're doing. >> reporter: while the carr fire continues to burn, fire weather scientist dr. craig clements moved in with this truck in search of data. the weather system and other instruments onboard are a profiling system. they gather weather data to help forecast the behavior of wildfires under dynamic weather conditions. >> our goal is to better measure and observe the wild land fire environment. take those data to basically tune the model. >> reporter: he's talking about computer simulation models that will help to predict how fast fires will move and how intense they will be. the carr fire created a tornado rarely captured on video that is an important case study. he was created by unusual conditions and triple digits temperatures and single digit. hume inity. the temperatures topping 2700 degrees fahrenheit. he's amazed by the extent of damage the tornado creating f ff whirls a
