san francisco, i've called it everything. 60 in concord. 6 # in san jose and 59 in san martin. so for today, here's the deal, not quite as hot, but more humidity. so you're probably not going to notice the difference. it's going to be a scorcher out there for today. and we're actually picking up measurable precipitation just to the south this morning. mostly moving up towards the area. you can see the batch of rain, it is charging along here and it's going to go to the north baby around 2:00 p.m. you can see it's going to travel about 200 miles or so over the course of the next few hours getting our first showers here in the bay area. not expecting much, but enough to wear, you'll notice that stickiness in the atmosphere. and the temperatures are going to feel about five to ten degrees warmer than the true temperature when you add that additional moisture as a weight to it. 70 degrees in san francisco. 48 on the peninsula, and 89 degrees on the south bay. feeling more like 99 degrees when you factor in the humidity. it's going to be hot even though the temperatures don't reflec

my name is martin and i'm the president of the san francisco police officer's association. i want to thank president chiu along with supervisor wiener introducing this legislation. many san francisco police officers are exposed to carcinogenics and this is gasoline fumes, exhaust fumes during traffic collisions and many police officers are first responders to a number of fires, setting up perimeters and before the firefighters arrive, they're exposed to a number of tar and sut. hall of justice over the years, over the past couple of decades have been notorious for having ex speck sus problems. our field officers s especially those in the narcotics department are exposed through chemicals for indoor marijuana growth and meth labs. this exposes them to pesticides and herbacides. these officers who respond to these incidents do not have any protective gear much like the firefighters. there are studies out there that show urban police officers are exposed to health and safety risk in their occupation including exposures that have been shown to cause or potentially cause cancer.
