so it's going to feel the way it should for november 4th. 43 in san martin. good morning to you, san carlos. you're waking up at 48 degrees. that is cold enough for a jacket. as you're putting the little ones together for school this morning, make sure that they are ready for the two different parts of the day. it's going to be chilly for the first part and nice and warm and sunny all across the board later on today. let's talk about what's going on on your satellite image rye right now. a couple things to point out. you'll notice here clouds arcing up and around a big ridge of high pressure, these showers colliding as that ridge high pressure sets up. what's also happening is high pressure moves in and compresses everything, forces it right to the surface and as a result we get that thick fog but it's not going to last long. it should be clearing between by about 9:00 and 10:00. we are losing visibility right now on the peninsula and in san francisco so please travel cautiously, a nice sunny finish between 10:00 and noon. full sunshine for the entire bay area

even after an election, whether it went your way sornt it's a little chilly this morning in san martin. you have fallen into the 40s as well. as we get into this afternoon, though, what a beautiful rebound coming your way and a beautiful satellite imagery to kick off a thursday morning. the clouds streaming in will be the weather story of the day. you can see a system bringing in a little shower activity. high pressure is still in control but you will notice more of these high clouds streaming in as we head throughout the day today. this is what those cirrus clouds look like. they're comprised of ice crystals, high, wispy clouds. that's what you'll see in your afternoon. 69 degrees for san francisco. we will hit the low 70s here in beautiful san jose. meanwhile, 76, gorgeous stick around, we'll talk about upcoming events. and for the weekend up to the upper 70s in the south bay, low 70s in the city. mike, what are we working with this morning? >> we're working with a lot of folks heading to work. picking up the volume through san rafael. but nothing but green through petaluma and san r

almost about 5 degrees for our inland locations around concord, san martin.uple of mornings. right now the radar is dry. what limb rain we have offshore is trying to move through some of the dryer air we have over the bay area. a lot of the precipitation just evaporates on contact as it falls through the dryer air below there is a lot of moisture offshore, but it's moving at least for now south to north. blocked by a temporary wall of high pressure here, which has helped to push the offshore winds, cooler dryer air coming down. so the mornings will be chilly. but the afternoon should be pretty mild. in fact, as we get towards tuesday, the winds change direction a little bit. may see some highs approaching 70 south of san jose for tuesday afternoon before some bigger changes arrive. obviously talk about some rain coming in for tuesday night and wednesday. so during the day monday, partly cloudy skies to mostly cloudy conditions. no rain in the forecast for monday. just a chilly start to your morning with highs in the mid- to upper 60s around san jose. low to m
