san mateo county. jesse gary, live for us at san mateo city hall. thank you for that, jesse. more than 2 million government employees have some extra time to decide if they want to take a buyout from the trump administration. federal employees had until midnight to decide if they wanted to take that offer. but this morning, a federal judge ordered the administration to extend that deadline until after a monday court hearing. the buyout would let federal employees stop working immediately, but still get paid for eight months. labor unions are suing the trump administration, calling the buyout illegal, and attorneys for the justice department have now agreed to temporarily restrict the department of government efficiency, which is led by elon musk, from accessing treasury department data. this agreement comes after unions representing federal workers filed a lawsuit against the treasury department. the suit claims that giving doge, as it's called, access to the government's highly sensitive payment and collection system and its personal data is unlawful. a federal judge has sig
