san mateo county reported a third flu death today. the county did not provide details. we've been in touch with health officials in all nine bay area counties. there's now been a total of 17 deaths from the flu in the bay area. all these victims are younger than 65. the seriousness of this flu season is prompting many people to seek out the vaccine. a free clinic was jammed today but with a run on flu shots, some places are unable to keep up with demand. we found two pharmacies in walnut creek that have run out of vak seens and a pediatrician in alameda is now putting names on a waiting list until new shipments arrive. doctors office and pharmacy said they expect to have new supplies within days. >>> san jose police made no new arrests in two of the city's homicide cases from last year. 20-year-old rodriguez was arrested yesterday. he was wanted in connection with the november 15th shooting death of pedro hernandez on west san carlos street. the second arrest was a juvenile suspected of being involved in the gang-related shooting death of 16-year-old manuel in june. the
