. >> all right, katie, developing news out of san mateo county tonight where a man's body has been recovered from the waters of half moon bay. kiet do is live at the scene of the ritz carlton hotel, telling us the remains were recovered just south of where a heyward high school student vanished while body boarding earlier this month. >> reporter: san mateo county sheriff's deputy found the body at 11:20 a.m. this morning. just as it was approaching low tide. this is the scene just below the ritz carlton hotel in half moon bay. the body was pulled out at the rocky shoreline, carried out by a team of deputies and cal fire personnel. the sheriff's office said the victim is male and will release his name once the female has been notified, seeming to suggest they have an immediate sense of who he is. we are waiting to hear if the remains are that of the 18-year- old. he's the teen who went missing after body boarding earlier this week and is now presumed dead. the beach where that team went missing is just two miles to the north. his board washed ashore, but the teen was never seen again. in half
