abc 7 news reporter amanda del castillo spoke with his family. >> reporter: san mateo county deputies returned to this rural stretch of skyline boulevard to search for additional evidence linked to the stabbing death of abdulmalek nasher. just before midnight those deputies found someone calling for help. they found 34-year-old john pekipaki. he did not survive. >> i'm missing him. he will be missed by us for the rest of our lives. i know he is in good hands. >> reporter: similar to monday night's victim, pekipaki's victim says he also received a work call. they say he was working for a towing company when a job came up tuesday evening. >> he got a call to go over to that area and pick up a vehicle. and when john drove over there on highway 35, that's when it happened. that's when they killed him. >> reporter: shortly after deputies found pekipaki, they also spotted a man they believed was responsible for the stabbing. the sheriff says the 26-year-old was attempted to leave the area. >> a deputy fired at the ongoing vehicle which was driving toward the victim and both deputies. the sp
