san mateo just got a large batch of doses from the feds. now it is reopening two of the largest sites. kiet do was at the san mateo county event center as it opened. >> reporter: another mass vaccination site back online in the bay area. it was a lean couple weeks but now the san mateo county event center is back. the cars started rolling in at 9:00 into the main 105,000 square foot cavernous space that looked more like an airplane hanger than a vaccination site. they have capacity for 3,000 doses but only a few hundred people made appointments. >> we are asking people to come on down. you t need an appointment. come down when you are ready and we'll vea dramatic turn of events. over the past month the site was shut down as supply dried up and county moved to smaller community based clinics. thanks to a large supply of 10,000 doses from the feds and 29% increase of weekly doses from the state san mateo was able to reopen the third mass vaccination site. >> this is a day we have waited for for a long time. >> reporter: the whole process should take 20 to 30 minutes. what was it like? >> easy peazy. >> reporter: alex lives
