kumasi: a young child has been attacked by a mountain lion and rural san mateo county -- in rural san: the sheriffs office says the child was taken to a limo trauma center but we don't know the child's condition. deputies responded about 7:00 last night to tunitas creek road. we have some video of the area surrounding the road. neighbors say they are not surprised to hear about a mountain lion sighting in this rural area but they are surprised about an attack. the child was conscious when they were transported to the hospital. a man who lives near where this happens says he was the first on scene and says the child was on the backside of the property. >> they were pretty calm when i pulled up. i asked them if they were ok, they were very come they were good, they said everybody is fine. they had to talk to the fish and game and a warden came. typically, the mountain lions avoid people. >> the california department fish and wildlife is investigating. the san mateo share posting on facebook and part our coaster community has endured so much these past few weeks. our entire agency is sad
