cal fire san mateo, santa cruz unit shared this photo late yesterday as five fire engines headed down to an area northwest of los angeles to help out crews there. ahead of this windstorm hitting southern california. let's bring in ktvu meteorologist rosemary oroczo joining us now with a look at the conditions. and rosemary greg talked about it and fire officials warned about it. these winds are really going to ramp up throughout the evening. >> yes, the winds. and of course, as we've been speaking about the red flag warning means it is critically dry there with relative humidity in the single digits at times. and as greg mentioned, most of southern california seeing little to no rainfall accumulation in the last several months. here's a look at some of the top gusts so far reported today. we'll stop near start near the magic mountain area in the santa clarita area, clocking 84mph. you get closer to santa monica 39mph reported there. but areas like burbank airport, as well as lax reporting anywhere from 45 to 65mph. and in the malibu hills, 50mph. this fire is burning on the west edge
