there is police activity at san pablo so we're tracking that. the traffic flow was stopped for a bit. i'll check to see if it's reopened. back to you. >> thank you. 4:34. we have continuing coverage of the deadly officer-involved shooting. officers in martinez are returning to work this morning one day after the death of officer kenyon youngstrom. he was shot on 680 tuesday morning after pulling over a driver for an obstructed license plate. his family took him off life support last night. news of his death is hitting students especially hard at oak brook elementary, the school where one of youngstrom's four children is said to attend. >> his family would pick me up and go to church on wednesdays. a real friend. his dad was a real cool dude. hate that he lost his father. >> officer youngstrom is the 223rd chp officer to be killed in the line of duty since 1929. he was just 37 years old. the motive behind the shooting is not clear but we're learning bout the alleged gun man. 38-year-old christopher lacy was a computer programmer who lived for man

the intersection of san pablo and the bride. it did not take long for police to find an intoxicated driver. about one hour and a checkpoint richmond police told this man over for a field sobriety test. it found an open container of alcohol in his car and he agreed to a breathalyzer blowing 0.05. it is under the legal alcohol level of the problem is he is 19 years old. police issued a criminal citation, dui for a minor. >> we're trying to enhance enforcement and provide additional safety said the public. >> officers say 1000 cars will have gone to the checkpoints and by the end of the night. most passing through were sober. >>officer: this is more of an educational campaign to let people know that we are out here. we take this seriously. >> this is the third new-line checkpoint in richmond since last year. how locals as an 201063 people died and almost 27 hunter were injured in an dui related accidents in the bay area. >> we do not anticipate making too many arrests for dui. this is a good opportunity to remind the public of what
