san pablo dam road is not open yet. we thought it would be. we're expecting it to re-open at any moment. let's take a look, though, at this very serious accident. in the video, you can see there was a white pickup truck and vw that were northbound, another white pickup and a school bus that were heading southbound. the school bus was going to ellerhorst elementary. somehow they collided on san pablo dam road. that's been investigated. it happened at 8:10 this morning. chp says it was misting rain. now, the vw driver suffered serious internal injuries according to chp. another adult had a broken leg. the school bus driver as we mentioned who's 34 weeks pregnant, all of them were taken to john muir medical center in walnut creek. now, there were seven kids on the bus, only one complained of pain. but out of an abundance of caution, chp says three of the kids were transported to children's hospital oakland. four others to kaiser in richmond. again, san pablo dam road closed going on three hours right now. drivers are coming up and having to loop

there are certainly a lot of fog near san pablo bay with many inland locations reporting fog. including one viewer from san helena. there is some really thick fog for some inland areas and visibility is just awful, so be careful. it should start to lift by 10:00 although yesterday was pretty persistent. we have some rain tuesday morning with a better system coming thursday and friday. we could have an active weekend maybe even into sunday and monday. cloudy today with mostly cloudy skies, very light rain with a better opportunity later on into tuesday. we will get a break tuesday evening into wednesday and then a cooler colder system thursday and friday. fog is the big story through 10:00 and then by this evening we are ramping up the ring chances. there is a little bit tried to punch in near the coast certainly just off the mendocino coast with a little bit on the sonoma and marin county coast. most of it not even reaching the ground but it is a sign of things to come. 40s and 50s for your temperatures with a few 30s for a bit but now they are gone. east bay mid 40s, blackhawk
