san pablo avenue is completely open in both directions.about to open within the hour, cummings highway that we're on here. that will open in the next hour. you may be able to see in the background that we have a team in the facility now assessing it. they got in at first light and assessing the situation in the light. we have six fire apparatus on the scene right now. two are being provided by pmao, thepetrol mutual association. the other four engines and crews are from crockett, carquinez fire departments and the rodeo fire protection district. they will remain on the scene until the situation is completely mitigated and there is no threat of recurrence of the fires. we don't know exactly when that will be. the job will be to keep those foam blankets on top of the two -- where the fires were, the tanks that were destroyed, to be sure we don't have a rekindle of those fires. one thing the team in the facility right now is doing is they are looking at a solution to mitigating the vapor emissions coming off both of those -- where the tank lo

this is what it looked like early this morning on san pablo avenue near the dead fish restaurant.on the firefight.>> reporter: we got an update about the amtrak train. they are going to allow it to come through the area 5 miles per hour. you can see the train on the track has been stopped for 2 hours. ever since the fire broke out on a hillside in crockett. i got an update from firefighters. they tell me the fire is contained and not entirely out. i saw smoke coming from the homeless encampment which caught on fire. this is a steep hillside. there are trees, dry brush. there was concern earlier about the fire spreading. i could tell you when we first arrived we saw visible flames, a large plume of dark smoke. firefighters had to hike up the hill pulling hoses, dragging hoses. they had chainsaws, rakes, other tools to put the fire out and make sure it did not spread. we are not seeing any more smoke. they do say they have the fire under control. the cause is not known. at this point they are not sure if anybody was injured. they are trying to determine details. what we do have, we
