the mayor of east palo alto says homelessness is a regional problem, which is why he's asking other cities in san mateo county to implement their own ordinances to clean up encampments while providing services from east palo alto to redwood city. the number of people living on the streets is growing, which is why east palo alto mayor antonio lopez says he plans to introduce an emergency ordinance on september 3rd that would launch city efforts to clean up homeless encampments, while also providing people mental health and other services to those displaced. the idea of the ordinance is that similar to the hopeful horizons ordinance of san mateo county, it provides two warnings to those individuals of course providing them shelter, providing them refuge, providing them resources. under his proposal, the unhoused would be forced to move after two warnings. today, the mayor urged other cities in san mateo county to create similar ordinances, noting homelessness is not an isolated issue. we have to have a unified response. we have to have a unified stance. redwood city planning commissioner maggie cor

san mateo 73 degrees and palo alto up to 79 degrees and 60s in san francisco once again for the north bay, mostly mid 80s sonoma, napa 85 and 84, in novato. going into the next few days, this area of low pressure, this cold front will be dropping along the coastline and just reinforcing the cool and natural air conditioning that we get this time of year. but it will not help out the inland valleys as much. take a look at morgan hill. we're going to see our high temperatures going from upper 80s to mid 80s. so we're in the steady weather pattern and the changes that we're seeing are very subtle. and that's what we expect to continue into at least early next week. highs will reach into the upper 80s and our overnight lows will be in the upper 50s. a lot of sunshine. and for san francisco, we're looking at temperatures in the upper 60s. and once again, not much change as we go into the week, as well as the weekend. every now and then we'll get some of the wisps of fog coming in, as well as some sunshine and breezy winds, but not a lot of changes here. not a whole lot to talk about as we
