you can see how hard it is raining in san rafael. rain has been steady this morning. we had wet roads and slow going as we headed north when we left oakland this morning. so far we saw one disabled car along the side of the road. we have heard about numerous weather-related accidents, most of them solo car spinouts. that is only expected to compound this morning's commute as it builds. meanwhile we are heading to the burned out area so heavily damaged in the north bay fires. we heard about workers there trying to secure is hillsides, the water expected to run off the base ground. there is no vegetation in this area to soak up the rain that could lead to flooding and mud slides. we will check in with first responders and monitor those areas to see how things are going there. and san rafael we will you can see right now are patrolling, looking for any possible signs of damage related to any of this rain. of course, patrolling for any vehicles that may have been spun out or hadding difficulty as a result of the rain. we will have a busy day as the storm rolls through the
