san rafael police are investigating a shooting involving one of their officers. last night around 9, an officer spotted a man in the middle of verdi street with two knives. police say after talking with the man for 30 minutes.. he began walking towards the officers. an officer fired non-lethel rounds at the man. the man continued at the officers when the san rafael officer fired his gun and struck the man. he was taken to the hospital and is being treated for life- threatening injuries.
