and we are dry here through vallejo, san francisco, santa rosa, and down to san jose. the big news of course was those cooling temperatures. i'll have a full look at that here in about 45 seconds. but i do want to take you to the weather story that everyone is talking about. and that is hurricane michael. made landfall right there near mexico beach just south of panama city beach this morning. 155-mile-per-hour winds, making it the third strongest in u.s. history. look at this. phenomenal. still 85-mile-per-hour winds just south of atlanta. have a connecting flight. this could be a big problem for you tonight. now, i'm going to show you why we're still unfolding the layers of this storm system. the full damage not totally known yet because of the strength of this. now, a category 3 storm you get the wind and the rain damage moving on in. it can certainly be very, very strong. but with a category 4, which michael ramped up to just before landfall, watch the difference here. you can see homes ripped off foundations. that's what some people may be coming home to, and that
