( darya ) the city of san francisco will pay an undocumented immigrant nearly 200-thousand dollars because it violated its own sanctuary city policy. in 2015 pedro zarceno showed up to the police station to recover his car that had been stolen. that's when he was turned over to immigration police. his lawyer says it happened because he had a civil warrant issued by an immigration judge on his record. the asian law caucus says the city has admitted they violated their sanctuary city policy. they have agreed to pay zarceno 190-thousand dollars. the board of supervisors is expected to vote on the settlement next month.
