. >> let's check in with meteorologist sandhya patel. >> we're not done with this storm yet. take a look at life doppler 7. it is still lit up. we're tracking pockets of moderate rain. we're going to take you into street level radar. in the east bay right now across mcarthur boulevard, seminary, 580, you'll notice that it is coming down. also around black hawk and diablo. camino ta sa ha ra, the oranges and yellows indicating the downpours. we go to the south bay where it's been a steady rain and at times coming down heavily. san jose right now, jackson street, santa clara still getting the rain. urban and small stream flood advisory was issued for a short time. as we loop this here, you'll notice that the moisture is moving in from the south and moving northward. that's why southern california is getting clobbered. they have seen anywhere from six to nine inches of rain down south. here in the bay area, we've had our share as you look at our storm reports here. 20 reports, most of them wind damage, trees knocked down, power lines. gusty winds remain a problem in the solano c

sandhya patel is here with the forecast. >> it was an isolated thunderstorm that produced that hail. let me show it to you on live doppler 7. we had a disturbance coming through northern california, just enough energy, the sun is heating caused that thunderstorm to flare up. it moved across napa county and then headed towards the solano county area. we are seeing some snow mixing in with rain in the mendocino hills and also around the hills in lake county, so this is obviously colder air coming in and seeing some mixed precipitation around mt. hamilton as well. definitely a change in the weather. we're seeing a lot of sunshine but also still seeing some isolated showers. this is right across 580, castro valley area. i do want to show you a beautiful picture sent to me of spring valley hail. this is just above napa here, and you can see that hail covering the table, so don't be surprised at least until the sun goes down if you do see maybe a shower or an isolated thunderstorm producing some hail. still a possibility. we do have 1s on our storm impact scale for saturday through monday.

let's get to meteorologist sandhya patel for the latest. >> let's check out live doppler 7. the entire bay area is lit up in green or yellow indicating that it is raining out there. it's a soggy start to your week. street level radar, pleasanton, 580 seeing moderate pockets of rain. san francisco down the peninsula, it is lighter. and around the north bay we're seeing pockets of moderate rain around novato, ignacio plv boulevard. as we head into the south bay into los altos to campbell, saratoga avenue, there are some downpours between san martin and gilroy. we do have a number of warnings. a flood warning continues for coyote creek and a flash flood warning for the other part of coyote creek. we've already seen flooding. when you get more rain, 1 to 5 inches already in the bay area on top of saturated ground, you'll see more potential for flooding. we also have a flash flood warning until 6:30 tonight for alameda creek. on our storm impact scale, this is a strong storm, continues as a category 3. scattered downpours, flash flood and flood warnings, winds will increase 40 to

. >> meteorologist sandhya patel is here with a rain timeline. >> let me show you live doppler 7. don't be fooled by that pretty sunset shot. we are seeing some moisture up in the clouds, some of it reaching the clouground. oakland airport, also around the san jose airport, just moved out. on our storm impact scale we have a moderate strength storm for thursday. wet and windy morning. we're looking at scattered afternoon showers with a slight chance of thunder. so your morning rush tomorrow, you do need to watch out for pockets of moderate rain, hydroplaning, and it is going to be dpugusty as times, especiall for the early morning commute. 8:00 tonight we'll see a few showers around. around 11:00 p.m. still light showers beginning to approach, but it's really 3:00 a.m. we see pockets of moderate rain. it continues around 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. as well. here's a look at your hour-by-hour planner. tomorrow morning rain and wind, scattered showers at noon and 4:00 p.m. as well. still damp at 7:00 p.m. this is just the beginning of a wet pattern that is unfolding, but it's not going

let's check in now with abc 7 news meteorologist sandhya patel for the timeline. >> let's take a look at live doppler 7 first and talk about what's ahead for your weekend. so we are tracking still some downpours from san francisco as we take you into street level radar. mission street, along the bayshore, brisbane, as we head down the peninsula look at this. burlingame, san mateo, foster city, you're just getting pounded here. we head further south, san jose street level radar, some moderate rain. in the east bay it is coming down from alameda to oakland. inland areas also seeing some rain right around livermore, 580, so it's really not an easy breezy commute. the winds have eased up in most areas. wind advisory for most of the bay area dropped but gusting to 33 at fairfield which is why solano county remains under a wind advisory until 10:00 tonight. gusts to 55 miles an hour could still take down trees and power lines. the next few hours we continue with this level 2 moderate strength storm. brief downpours, breezy to gusty conditions still going to continue. look at the storm repor

let's check in with meteorologist sandhya patel. >> yeah, did you feel confused? shades, umbrellas, shades, umbrellas. we've had that kind of a day as you check out live doppler 7. we've had sunny breaks and some showers right now. i'm going to take you in closer. street level radar in the east bay where we are seeing some light rain right around livermore, dublin boulevard, central parkway, so the evening commute is definitely slick in some spots. in the south bay, evergreen area also seeing some spotty showers. and from san martin to gilroy, santa theresa boulevard on highway 101, morgan hill, getting a bit wet. in the north bay we do have light to moderate showers between healdsburg and windsor. on our storm impact scale this is a light system, a 1 for tonight through tomorrow. we're expecting scattered showers, half an inch to an inch of rain for most areas. it is going to be breezy at times. take a look at our chances of rain the next seven days. this covers your weekend as well. hour-by-hour look at what's going to happen over your weekend coming right up. >

let's get to sandhya patel for what's happening right now in your neighborhood. >> it's pretty much wet across the entire bay area. take a look at live doppler 7. we have a light system right now, level 1. also seeing moderate pockets of rain right around san francisco, the mission street area, bayview district heading into the east bay. 7th street, lincoln street. you're looking at alameda, emeryvil emeryville, oakland, wet for the evening commute. lighter showers from santa clara to san jose and it's steady light rain in the north bay. get ready for a bigger storm. we are tracking a strong storm with live doppler 7. this one has the atmospheric river connection and that moisture is aimed right at the bay area which means a level 3 storm. it's a strong storm coming in for tuesday. highest impacts in the north bay, santa cruz mountains. strong winds and power outages likely. hydroplaning, stream and creek flooding and trees down are very likely. watch out for power outages as well. right now the rivers are looking just fine. hour-by-hour look, unfortunately it coincides with one part of
