meteorologist sandhya patel is here with the latest. sandhya. >> yeah, it's not going to be for the better for us, that's for sure. or for the firefighters, dan and ama. it's going to be a combination of hot gusty conditions and very dry vegetation that will fuel potential fires that are already there and existing ones but also possibly new ones. let's take a look at our time lapse from our emeryville camera. you can see the smoke and the haze from the glass fire tonight. that's what gave us that reddish hue as the sun was setting this evening. definitely changing conditions. the air quality has been impacted. and you can see from the visible satellite picture here that there was the smoke that was just spreading from the glass fire into many parts of the north bay and even farther down. but one thing you may notice is earlier today we saw that fog just get blown away. it's a result of the north wind that pushed those temperatures up today. we got up into the low 100s. 100 degrees in livermore. it was a record for today. 101, excuse me,

meteorologist sandhya patel is here now with a look at the red flag weather conditions that we're facing. sandhya? >> yeah, dan. challenging conditions ahead for the firefighters especially fighting those fires. a red flag warning, 1:00 tomorrow afternoon for the north bay mountains. it runs until friday evening. it's a combination of northwesterly wind gusts, 25 to 30, that will dry out the atmosphere. critically dry fuels and very low humidity, so definitely is going to be dangerous and critical fire weather conditions ahead. right now those winds are gusting to about 22 on mount tam out of the northwest, as you take a look at the current conditions near the glass fire. it's still pretty dry. 22% humidity. winds are light. 84 degrees right now. and as you check out those winds hour by hour, 5:00 tomorrow morning, 29-mile-an-hour winds. they'll be increasing to 31 around ukiah. 26 at clear lake thursday evening. and the smoke, the windy conditions and the low humidity will result in high fire danger. you can see that high to very high in the north bay. i'll be back with a closer look at

abc 7 news meteorologist sandhya patel is here, and sandhya, the winds were howling in some parts last night. >> they sure were, ama and dan. let me show show you how strong those winds were. mt. diablo, 75 miles an hour. even at the lower elevations like oakland airport, 58. concord, 40 miles an hour. the red flag warning remains up through 5:00 p.m. tomorrow through the north and east bay hills because of gusty winds and low humidity. this is like desert dry. single digit humidity for some areas so extreme fire danger and certainly possible. take a look at the fire danger index in the north bay tomorrow at 6:00. you'll notice high to very high extreme fire danger. even in the east bay hills as we head into 3:00 a.m. tomorrow as that next burst of winds develops although they won't be as strong as what we experienced in the last 24 hours, the fire danger will be subsiding as we head towards 6:00 tomorrow night. hour by hour the wind as you'll notice 2:00 a.m., 27 mile an hour winds. those gusty winds with us tomorrow morning. calestoga area 9:00 a.m., and then the winds begin to ease

meteorologist sandhya patel is here now with a look at the red flag weather conditions that we're facing. sandhya? >> yeah, dan. challenging conditions ahead for the firefighters especially fighting those fires. a red flag warning, 1:00 tomorrow afternoon for the north bay mountains. it runs until friday evening. it's a combination of northwesterly wind gusts, 25 to 30, that will dry out the atmosphere. critically dry fuels and very low humidity, so definitely is going to be dangerous and critical fire weather conditions ahead. right now those winds are gusting to about 22 on mount tam out of the northwest, as you take a look at the current conditions near the glass fire. it's still pretty dry. 22% humidity. winds are light. 84 degrees right now. and as you check out those winds hour by hour, 5:00 tomorrow morning, 29-mile-an-hour winds. they'll be increasing to 31 around ukiah. 26 at clear lake thursday evening. and the smoke, the windy conditions and the low humidity will result in high fire danger. you can see that high to very high in the north bay. i'll be back with a closer look at

forecast with sandhya patel. >> hi there, everyone. it is feeling like late fall, here, in the bay area. sweater weather outside. take a look at those temperatures right now. anywhere from 59 to 74 degrees. today's highs really didn't make it far from those numbers there. they were in the low 60s to the mid-70s. hope you are enjoying it. the wind certainly playing a role. onshore breezes transporting the cooler air in from the ocean towards the bay and around the inland areas. here is a live look from our kgo roof camera and you can see that breeze blowing across the bay and lot of clouds from our golden gate bridge camera. live doppler 7 showing you clouds stacked up. it's not just low-level, but high-level clouds as well. one thing we are concerned about is from our mt. tam cam, you can see how smoky skies are still around the north bay where the glass fire -- glass fire is still going. but we do have moderate air quality, even elsewhere. so, san rafael looking for poor air quality for sensitive groups. san jose, moderate. and same t
