. >> cnn's paula sandoval has more. >> reporter: elected officials in both the state of michigan andn texas feeling frustrated this morning. many of them recognizing that even though norfolk southern may not have been legally required to tell them about the toxic waste being disposed of in their communities, a heads-up would have gone a long way. in harris county, texas, the chief executive learned about 2 million gallons of water used to fight the fire after the train derailment earlier this month would be trucked to a licensed facility in her community. after she learned about it, after nearly half million gallons was already in harris county and she first learned about this process while watching the news. you imagine the trust rigs there. texas molecular, the company hired to dispose of this potentially dangerous water saying that it already has four decades managing water safely. hopefully, that reassuring some texas residents. there is also the contaminated soil. 4,800 cubic yards of it that the state of ohio said had to be removed and were on their way to a waste disposal faci
