>> well, when i saw the decision and i disagree with it strongly, i thought of sandra day o'connor whoeft the court a few years ago. she was an independent republican appointed by ronald reagan from arizona. left the court to take care of her husband. and that shifted the court from a 5-4 in favor of these limits to 4-5 on the other side of it. so i think congress is trying to do what it can. but what both parties are doing right now, they're trying to figure out how to take this law, set up joint fund-raising communities so that members of congress can now start soliciting million-dollar contributions to all the various parties from individuals. a candidate for president now will be able to set up a joint fund-raising committee and solicit a $1.2 million contribution that would include maxed-out contribution to the political candidate but also maxed out to all the various parties, maxed out to the democratic or republican parties around the country. i don't think that's good in a democracy. imagine the speaker of the house, john boehner or nancy pelosi, the minority leader, being able
