i am sandy anderson, senior vice president of operations for experience north america. let me begin by stating why credit bureaus exist and how consumers benefit credit bureaus accurately compile individuals payment histories reported to us by creditors so that lenders can use this data to make sound underwriting decisions sound lending decisions for credit cards. autos and mortgages mean fewer defaults, fewer defaults mean lower cost of credit for consumers and greater availability of consumer credit across the economy credit bureau data is blind to factors such as race, ethnicity, and gender so it helps lenders ensure compliance with the equal credit opportunity to act. what we hear most often from consumers and policy makers is that they want us to focus on three clear objectives ensure the information we hold on consumers is secure make credit reports accurate and manage a data dispute system that is easy for consumers to access and use understands these responsibilities and has significantly shifted its focus to the consumer experian has kept pace serving consumers

and that includes super storm stand, sandy, back in 2012, which was a record setting storm as well. but this area did not see major damage at that time . since sandy, billions of dollars have been spent to harden and protect the coastal areas from flooding. but these were rivers that rose so quickly and storm drains, drainage systems that were meant not built to handle. so much water at one time and they were just simply overwhelmed. and as a result, even people got warnings about flood alerts, but they came to late and because of not being used to this kind of thing around here, they just didn't know where to go or what to do. and sadly, for some here, they didn't survive. christian salumi, thank you very much. indeed. we speak now to dr. christina dollars, senior climate scientist at the union of concerned scientists to join us from san francisco in california. thanks so much for being with a with us in terms of these extreme weather events. what you make the, the resilience planning that's been in place me clearly that hasn't perhaps been enough of it. what do you think's been mi

sandy tells here. that's right an ama and dan the weekend looks fantastic. we have a nice variety of weather coming your way. i do want to show you a from earlier tonight mount tamkam. well, it was hard to miss the haze and the air laying right above the fog layer. the fog layer has compressed tonight. it was a little bit warmer today. we're going into even warmer weather for the upcoming holiday weekend want to show you the smoke from the wildfires. you can see those smoke right around northwestern california the northern portion the eastern portion of the state and some of that smoke just coming right into our region, which is why we were seeing it and our air quality is being impacted it is moderate across most of the bay area. it's worse as you will notice near the caldorf fire where it is unhealthy and even parts of the northwest, california coastline looking at unhealthy air quality. the good thing is because of lighter winds crews have been making progress and i think the weather is going to cooperate for them as you take a look at the smoke forecast.
