we are committed to providing the pores of sanford cisco with a great way to reclaiming their sense of dignity and progressing towards stability -- the port of san francisco. st. anthony's dining room was open 50 years ago, providing hot and trichet mills in the space at 121 golden gate avenue that had been an auto repair shop. our services to disadvantaged and economically poor people have increased dramatically. every day, st. anthony's provides thousands of people with food, clothing, drug and alcohol recovery, and medical services, and next month, we will serve our 37 million meal. for the past 10 years, st. anthony foundation has been working on improving our delivery of services to our guests in manner that also lessens the impact of those services on our community. we have explored many options over the years to improve services within the existing 121 golden gate avenue structure, which has been modified over the years. in order to add needed community services. in the end, after our exhaustive analysis, we found that it is just not feasible to again modernize and increase our

anthony's foundation and sanford cisco network, i completed a course in the technology hardware -- between st. anthony's foundation and san francisco network. commissioner olague: find you. any additional public comment? -- thank you. any additional public comment? >> good afternoon. i have been working for the foundation -- st. anthony foundation now for 13 years, which has been a true pleasure. the work that the foundation does is very broad and expansive. the one advantage that i have, compared to some of the staff at work there, is the fact that i know the foundation from both sides. 1996, i went through the st. anthony foundation alcohol and drug rehab. i am an alcoholic and a drug addict, but i have a clean now, as of next month, for 15 years, thanks to st. anthony foundation. i feel that any place that can give people a second chance like that, especially after going through the rehabilitation program and then hiring them on top of it to do the work that we do has got to be an advantage for any community. thank you. commissioner olague: thank you. is there any additional public comm

in the past, district supervisor's have lost sight of the fact that we do represent sanford cisco as a whole, and we need to major in city hall that we are acting policies, laws, and legislation that will of the city forward as a whole. there are a lot of issues like that. i mentioned job creation, pensions. a lot of them are economic, but some of them are more than that, making sure we continue to have dialogue with the 49ers. that is something that is not necessarily economic but something that matters to the city as a whole. it is a big part of what i look forward to doing in city hall. >> what are the specific thoughts you have on how the city can deal with budget issues? >> i think of two things. i'm not one the things that we can raise revenue and that is going to solve out of our problems -- i'm not one who thinks that we can raise revenue, and that will solve all our problems. we need to look at what we do as a city and was services we offer. we have 26,000 city employees. our payroll and fringe benefits for city employees accounts for over 60% of our budget. if we are not wi

increased housing rentals and for sale, and when you look at the cost of living in sanford cisco, you have to figure the cost of transportation as well, transit-oriented development programs support more affordable living, not just how you manage the cost of the housing unit itself. it is the whole lifestyle. creating transit-oriented development neighborhoods really means creating safe, comfortable, pedestrian access from residents to transit centers but also residents to services and job sites in the neighborhood. create a social heart for the community. i would recommend that the transit hub becomes a major social heart. we will talk about that later. and finally, providing a diverse community is one of the goals of the project. multi modal access, making sure the u.s. bicycle, pedestrian, transit, shells, driving, parking here of all of these pieces to help a diverse community feel at home in the new development. i do want to emphasize how much review went into this project for transportation providers and experts in the city. even as early as 2008, was up and looking at the 19th
