sanjay gupta is our chief medical correspondent., you were in front of the white house on friday about this physical, the white house released this brief statement saying the exam went well. do you have similar questions on anything being hidden? >> well, i think it's safe to say this, that probably the results -- the vast majority of the results are probably back. some of the blood work may have been done at the white house residence so my guess is many of these results are back. when they'll release them is still an open question but a little context, brook, you remember last year he had the exam done on friday. it wasn't until tuesday when the results were released through the press conference which was remarkab remarkable. but if you go back to president obama's presidency, it could take a couple weeks. sometimes you wouldn't know he had a physical exam, you would just get a one sheet. it's all over the map. there's no set protocol. but i think the results are probably back and hopefully they'll be forthcoming soon. >> so what a

sanjay gupta is here. hello, dr. gupta.e you. >> good evening. >> so his physician released the result of his annual physical today. we've got the result on the screen right now. what stands out to you from these test results? >> you know what stands out to me overall is how little we found out today, don. it was a four-hour examine. there were 11 consultants. it took six days, and this is what we got back, which my point is it's not very much. but still, you got the numbers up so you can compare the numbers. as you say, gained a little bit of weight. so his body mass index is now over 30. that's why he is considered clinically obese. the cholesterol came down, you can see. but look at the very bottom line. the medication crestor as a statin drug for cholesterol. they quadrupled that dose. that's what brought his cholesterol down. what's concerning a little bit is ldl, which is the bad cholesterol, that should be lower. with this much of the statin medication, that should at least be below 100. but we'll see. we get an idea

sanjay gupta joins us with more.tudy that found an increase in the time infants are spending in front of screens. what are the findings? >> that's the big headline. kids from birth to 2 years old had a significant amount of increase in screen time. 1997 to 2014 which was five years ago but the last year for which this data was available. look at that. age 0 to 2, they got more screen time than 3 to 5. more than doubled in the early age group. another interesting thing when i dug into the data is the three hours for 0-2, two and a half are television time. so the landscape has changed tremendously over 20 years with phones, tablets, these things, television time went up the most considerably. 0-2 and also in the older age group, two and a half hours of television out of three hours or so, a day -- two and a half hours of television time out of three hours of screen time a day. tv still seems to dominate what the young kids are watching. >> it's not a case of the phones are the downfall of civilization. it's the tv whi

sanjay gupta with today's here's to your health. what did the study find?rt but i love the brain even more. that was really nice, erica. this is an interesting study. this has been brewing out there for some time, this idea that there's a connection between diet drinks, artificially sweetened beverages, and stroke. but this is now the largest study. it was a study of over 81,000 women. and what they found was that women who drank two or more diet sodas a day were more likely to have a type of stroke. 31% more likely to have that stroke. so -- and this was mostly in women who were ages 50 to 79, as you can see there, higher risk if you were african-american, higher risk if you had a body mass index over 30. let me show you something real quick. everyone who's watching this is saying yes, but, what were the things that they actually accounted for? were they already had some sort of history of heart disease? no. did they have atry of stroke? no. they found the physical activity in the diet was the same between the people that drank more diet sewed and those wh
