they didn't know in santa ana was alive or dead. there were about probably 1500 troops, mexican troops, here at old fort and another 1,000 down here at columbia. he got reya to join him and they ended up at madam powell's near kendleton on highway 59. we have excavated and found a lot of artifact there is. they met there and stayed there for about a day and a half. now, they still had no clue what happened to santa ana. they had no orders from santa ana, but they had a meeting of the generals on april 25th, 1836, at madam powell's, and what they decided to do was they decided to retreat. they were going to go down to this crossing, which is the one that was used on the way north, and they were going to come down to victoria and they were going to wait for orders from the mexican government. they didn't know what they wanted to do. they were going to get resupplied, they were going to connect with the thousand troops that were still in san antonio. so we got about 4,000 mexican troops still in texas, 2,500 of them are here trying to

santa clara valley looks good. you're driving, now is your chance. >>> thank you and very good morning. we have a cold air mass for this time of the year and the possibility of a few buildups and light rain showers towards the north and the east. it's really the cold air filtering in. winds out of the west or the northwest and you combine that with a 30-degree temperature, santa rosa and it's close for livemore and other locations. the colder air yet to settle in. it's impressive for april. highs today 50s or low 60s. light snow at shasta. there's the low rotating around. there's a little piece of energy that has to rotate in and in lake county, maybe up towards nappa, i'll would keep an eye on the sky. won't happen near the coast and won't happen for the peninsula. for the north and the east, there's a possibility. by tomorrow, this low will eject out and allow high pressure to build in. today breezy and cool. sun in the morning and clouds in the afternoon. upper 50s, low 60s. these are below average temperatures.

you can see light rain lingering temperatures upper 40s in cloverdale, santa rosa, santa cruz, low to mid 50s cooler tomorrow but still mild with that rain overnight. low sinking farther to the south and it is slowing that's why we'll have light showers late today with the best chance of the rain in southern california. next system thursday has a better chance of pushing through the bay area and bringing showers and a chance of a thunderstorm. as far as timing, 7:00 this morning, few sprinkles, mostly cloudy, waves of clouds rolling in stray shower or two around the lunch hour through 4:00. better chance of the showers, especially south bay and east bay by 6:00 this evening hanging around through midnight. overnight light rain hanging all the way through the bay area some areas may not get the showers may get light rain overnight like north bay and down the coast of santa cruz. the cold front sweeps through that is going to bring increasing showers for thursday's morning commute through the heart of the bay by noon out of bay by 5:00, 6:00. rainfall amounts dropping a little. tomorrow
