santa rosa. they've already had an impressive year. they had over another 4 inches of rain and inch of rain in san francisco over 3 inches of richmond. but look at this in san jose this it's really interesting. they fell under what's called the rain shadow effect. you get all that moisture running over the top of the santa cruz mountains, rains out over the mountains. by the time we get to san jose, the santa clara valley, there's not much moisture left so they will have less than 10th of an inch of rain. but don't worry, there's plenty more to come. boy, it is get fierce looking toward the mount tam cam. look at that. that is amazing. it is just raging up there. so windy across the mountain peaks. we've seen some very strongest down below. but as a truck, ross of those exposed pieces are going to see some really strong winds. fact, you're seeing that rain system beginning to move in. this will pack a punch overnight tonight and tomorrow. it is going to be a nasty day around the bay area. be careful if you've got to go out a pretty str

well south of the golden gate and mostly just down in the santa cruz mountains down into the santa clara valley. you can actually see some of this residual energy still hanging out those upper elevations on the peninsula. it's still a little bit of snowfall in the sierra where we're sitting on the san mateo and dumbarton bridges. a few isolated showers. you're seeing those around foster city down through stanford and a couple sprinkles in the west side of san jose at the moment. no new rainfall up in the north bay, which is good news. we still have that flood watch in effect for just a few final moments west of santa rosa. speaking of advisories that just got canceled. no more winter storm warnings up in the sierra officially expiring. now, as far as winds go much calmer than the he aggressively windy conditions yesterday we had winds in excess of over 50 miles per hour. as for future cast, there's that little less remaining rainfall pushing through after this. we see some clear dry skies into the weekend. good chance to head up to the sierra to enjoy it or just stay here in the bay area
