[laughter] it is always nice to get out here to santa barbara in the sunshine. i just came from texas. we had an ice storm yesterday along the rio grande. i am working on my memoirs. i have a deadline creeping up on me. i have not seen a lot of daylight. i cannot think of a better place to come -- a better inspiration than to come to reagan country. people say they look forward to reading the book. that reminds me that i need to finish reading it.
