santa clara county court workers and the court go back to the bargaining table. if everything goes well, the strike on day 7, could end. it was more than a week ago that nearly 400 santa clara county workers walked off the job. they went on strike. they said they haven't had a raise in nearly a decade. that strike had a huge impact on court services. we saw judges doing their own paperwork, clerks offices were closed and search and arrest warrants were backlogged. but the workers said they hope that that message was loud and clear to the court that they deserve more pay. >> when it comes right down to it, you cannot expect them to survive in the most expensive place in the united states. to keep up at least a second year raise would give them an opportunity for health benefits and spend more time with their families. >> reporter: so the court was offering them two 5% raise this is six months. the court workers want a third raise after not getting a pay raise for nearly a decade. we heard some court workers have been working more than one jobs, some losing homes.
