it's in the northern part of santa clara right off. lawrence expressed parkway. and this is video of what the scene looked like earlier this morning. police say it all happened at around 2.30, in the morning. that's when they received calls about a shooting here at the complex. when they arrived, they did find one man that was outside of an apartment. they see that he was arrested and then they went into the apartment to find another person that was shot dead. that man remains in custody with officials saying there is no threat to the community. did remain on the scene for hours investigating and will continue to be here throughout the afternoon, possibly the evening. they have focused some of their time on those vehicles that are under the carport here at this complex. you can see behind me they do have the crime scene investigation unit here. we're still waiting to hear more details in santa clara, michael thomas from 4 news. >> we do have an update now to the anti-semitic vandalism found around lake merritt to the oakland police department is now investigating
