that's very important for valley water, because about half of the water that we use here in santa clara county comes from outside of the county. so that snowpack is really part of our water supply here. right now, valley water says the south bay reservoirs are about 91% of the historical average. they're in good shape should strong winter storms arrive. we've got our wettest months now here in january and february, so we really are early in the season to see, you know, to give a definitive look at how we're doing locally. but because of the last two years and what we've seen and the rainfall we'vead in the past two years, things are looking pretty good. the data doesn't include the anderson reservoir because it's drained while the dam is being retrofitted to stand up to earthquakes. and overall, california's major reservoirs are 121% of average. but state water officials caution snow totals in january don't indicate how the winter will end. in recent water, years have shown how quickly conditions can change. on this date last year, california started slowly with a very dry fall. the statewide
