this morning the santa clara county sheriff's office tells us that this alleged peeping at santa clara valley medical centerehind me took place in a non-patient part of the hospital. the man who was under arrest was taken into custody last night. here. his name is frereja ali and the received a tip last week that ali was allegedly peeping on at least one other employee from an outside window looking into a part of the building designated for the security staff and that whoever was inside the building was unaware of ali's presence. it's not clear what ali was looking at, but according to the penal code for the crime that he's been charged with, there was some sort of expectation of privacy, something that he allegedly violated. we're still waiting to hear back from the hospital. one reasonçó the sheriff's offi has released ali's mug shot picture, they are trying to get more information from people who might recognize him and see if there are any other victims. reporting live in san jose, bob redell, nbc bay area news. >> thanks very much. meantime, we're following breaking news out of the north bay right now

(catherine) a man arrested monday night - suspected of peeping at santa clara valley medical center -turned out to be a hospital employee. but he's still in trouble. sheriff's officials got an anonymous tip that 25-year-old fereja ali had been peeping in windows.. he's accused of looking through a window into a non-patient area that's designated for security workers. ali was arrested after the incident. he's being held on five-thousand-dollars bail. police say there's no evidence of any patient victims. (pam) in fremont -- we are learning more about a deadly police shooting. it happened sunday night in an alley behind a walgreens store on decoto road. the incident began just before midnight at the 7-11 across the street. officers say the man was armed and left a traffic stop. police say they chased a suspect to the walgreens and demanded that he come out of the alley. when the man wouldn't come out -- officers shot and killed him. the man's identity has not yet been publicly released.
