most of this system now is down towards san jose, morgan hill, san martin, gilroy, santa cruz, santa cruz mountains. so there's not much left, but it made it so 50s on most of the temps, some 40s, 30s in the mountains. snow up there though. truckee, south lake tahoe, a little bit of activity, not too much. 1 to 2in at lake level, maybe 4 to 6, some of the higher elevations. but there is a winter weather advisory out goes until 2:00 today. snow level around 5000 506,000ft. blue canyon is reporting some snow, so around 5500ft. but ther if you're going up 50 or 80. so to the north clearing. but there's still plenty of clouds coming down. could be a stray shower or two. i'll mention a lot of cool air coming down, so we'll keep that in the forecast. but after this morning we get kind of a break until late friday and early saturday. there you go. more snow in the mountains. we'll get another quarter to maybe a half inch here. maybe mount tamalpais casadero will do better than that, but i'll deal with that tomorrow. and more snow for the mountains. so this is good ending october. going into early november

wind coming over the mountains and working their way down slope, down the santa cruz mountains, and towards the coastline. when that happens, things, they warm up. those are down slope winds, so you'll be warmer, but also drier. this is the kinds of scenario where you might be inclined to reach for the chap stick more often. but if you haven't noticed that aspect of it, you've certainly noticed the temperature aspect. i'll remove the relative humidities in the mid-20s, we'd like to see them in the 30s and 40s. dry air does something else. it also allows the temperatures at night to really cool down. so if you take a look at what's coming tomorrow morning, just for the north bay, we'll spotlight you because on situations like this, offshore wind events, you can start getting colder in the mornings because the offshore winds have dried out the air. humidity in the air is usually an insulator. you clear out the humidity, you lose the blanket, and it gets colder. let's do the lows for the entire bay. the wide view, morning lows in the mid-50s for many of the warmer inland spots. and certainly i
