this was north of us across the santa monica mountains behind me.sherwood. flames didn't take hold in an area where there were a lot of homes, but it was close enough to them that it triggered a pretty extraordinary response as the flames and smoke rose into the air. we saw a fleet of aircraft battling the flames. first of all helicopters going to be at nearby lake sherwood dropping the buckets into the water, bringing it back and dropping that into the flames. then the fixed aircraft wing coming in with the flame retardant. they appear to have gotten a handle on that. it is a very clear demonstration that we are not out of the woods by any means here yet in southern california. those santa ana winds not as strong as they were over the weekend when so much destruction was done. but they are strong enough to keep everybody very much on their toes. these firefighters who have been working so hard for so long continue to do everything they can to protect all of us from these continued flare-ups. julie? >> julie: are people being allowed back into their
