we're joined with santa rosa's assistant city manager. how many victims have submitted plans and are waiting for the green light? >> what we're seeing we have 1057 homes in the process. those 546 are under construction. more than we expected at this time. what happened in may we got a large influx of plans. 246 came in, in may. that showed that everyone had been planning, getting ready and submitting the plans. we had to staff up quickly. we brought in people, sending plans around the state to get rid of the backlog. and people working weekends and nights. we're caught up, we're on our turnaround times is about 5 to 10 days to turn a plan ash. it's -- around. we had to add resources. >> it was an all hands on deck kind of situation. we saw the photos to deal with the backlog. you invited city engineers to come to santa rosa. this was a marathon session. where did this idea come from and how much did you get accomplished? >> right after the fires, a couple weeks after the fires we brought on our consulting firm to help us. we had a permit

santa rosa, a temperature of 85 degrees. across the board, the winds are active at this hour. you can see the sea breeze, about 20 miles an hour in san francisco. about 31, though, that gust currently through the delta and fairfield, 23 in clear lake. as we go through the future, you see tomorrow morning it's not too breezy, except along the immediate coastline. by 7:00 in the morning we have the winds on the coast. gusting at times over 20 miles an hour. but that will change in the afternoon. by 4:00 or 5:00 tomorrow afternoon you get the daytime heating that kind of mixes up the atmosphere and it kicks in those winds. tomorrow, again, those winds likely gusting 10 to 20 miles an hour. overnight tonight, here's the call, the fog is along the coast. then after midnight it will spill into the bay once again. a lot of 50s on board the next 12 hours. early tomorrow morning, the light jackets still needed. that sun is up at about 6:14 in the morning. midday, we expect the winds to gradually pick up. it will be a breezy afternoon. but the winds, once again, will transport some cool
