nbc bay area's arturo santiago at the courthouse in morgan hill with the latest for us. arturo. >> reporter: marla, this was her first appearance at the courthouse. it was over in just minutes. i can tell you there was a lot of emotion in the room as it happened. 59-year-old deborah gratz stood before a judge for her ram arraignment. gratz and her attorney plan to enter a plea of not guilty. as she sat down parents who used the daycare where gratz worked got up and left the courtroom. gratz had no comment as she left the courthouse. deborah gratz is accused of putting the sleep medication sominex into the sippy cups of children into her care at the kiddie academy on march 8th. cups were taken away before they were used by the children and gratz was immediately fired. nearly a dozen parents who used the academy were at the hearing. two parents we talked to say they had suspicions even before gratz was allegedly caught in the act. >> looking back and saying juice, juice, juice. we never gave her juice. we asked about that. no, just giving her water. thinking back on it, yo
