police are investigating a deadly car crash early this morning in san jose.( darya ) kron 4's sara stinson is live at the scene... sara, any details from police? the crash happened here on west san carlos street...it took three tow trucks to tow it out of this steep embankment.you can see in the video the car is completely charred as the car caught fire after it crashed.this was first reported around 1:20 this morning right off of bird avenue next to the 76 station. i spoke to an employee working at the time of the deadly crash...he said he believes at least three people were rescued from the car in the embankment and takento the hospital. he says he heard the entire crash unfold.we do know at least one person died in the single car crash.we have reached out to the san jose police, but have not been able to confirm the name or age of the driver. west san carlos street is now open after being closed for five hours while officers investigated the scene.i'm working to find out more details about this person who died and if there were in fact more people in the car who survived this crash.live

(robin) a 15-acre fire broke out near the coachella music festival. riverside county fire responded to flames near tyler street in coachella on sunday morning. that's about six and a half miles from the empire polo club where coachella is being held this year. 100 firefighters were able to put out the fire. the fire is still being investigated. no inuries were reported. (robin) los angeles police have arrested a man on suspicion of murder in connection with a music studio fire that killed two people. the fire happened on saturday in universal city. police arrested a 28-year-old man after the fire at "top notch recordings". two other people were injured. the cause of the fire is under investigation by the l-a fire department arson team. firefighters say the building did not appear to have zoning permits for a music studio. (justine) another big story we are following tonight... southwest airlines cancelled dozens of flights today ...as the airline inspects planes engines. those engines are similar to the one that failed on a southwest flight earlier this week. (jrs) a man is behind bars tonight after being accused of robbing a store in san pablo. he was arrested after he allegedly took merchandise and pointed a gun at a store employee who confronted him. when police arrived at the store, they viewed surveillance video and recognized the suspect from prior contacts. police did not identify the man. they say he was captured minutes later and found with a pellet gun and drugs. (justine) in san mateo county. officials were forced to shut down the power for two cities. this as firefighters worked to save two victims in a car that crashed into a pole. the incident happened around three this morning on camino al lago in atherton. once at the scene crews found a car pinned against a tree after bouncing off a power pole. live electrical wires were resting on the car...prompting officials to cut off the power in atherton and nearby menlo park. over 34 hundred people were affected by the power outage...however as of tonight all power has been restored

kron 4's sara stinson is live at the suspects home.ear sacramento on tuesday. he's accused of killing 12 people and raping at least 45 in the 1970s and 1980s. neighbors say deangelo was a decent... but odd man. they say he kept to himself but was quick to anger and could often be heard loudly cussing at a minor annoyance. deangelo served as a police officer for six years until the auburn police department fired him in 1979 for shoplifting a hammer and dog repellent.
