sarah dallof is live in boston to tell us how the snow is breaking records. feel for you all bundled up there. >> temperatures here in the single bigots. with that windchill as low as negative 30 that's what it feels like out here. causing huge concerns. a windchill warning in effect here in boston and throughout much of new england. people are urged to limit their time outdoors and cover up exposed skin. this is on top of the fresh snow this area received over the weekend. it's causing big problems creating whiteout conditions. there was a 20-car pileup not far from here. roof collapses are becoming common. there was an apartment, 200 families affected by that. in boston things slowly getting back to normal. certain public transit will begin running today. some flights will be able to leave the airport. but this weather continues to paralyze this area. all eyes shifting to the midwest midwest, great lakes and southeast, as a new storm barrels down on those areas. >> sarah dallof live for us in boston. thank you, sarah. >>> with more snow coming to new englan

sarah dallof live in boston to tell us what they're doing up there. good morning. >> good morning.on waking up to the coldest morning in more than ten years, with that windchill. temperatures as low as 30 below zero. this is on top of the snow they received over the weekend. and more than a foot of snow. all of this has combined to create real problems. there was a chain-reaction pileup on i-95. and the weight of that snow is not going well with some roofs. we've seen a number of roof and building collapses as a result including an apartment building in new hampshire. some 200 people affected by that. of course all eyes, now, shifting to the incoming weather. that storm barreling down on the great lakes, the midwest and the southeast. louisville kentucky could see up to a foot of snow. more snow here. other parts of the country, going to see ice and freezing rain. it does feel like there's no escape lately from this brutal winter. back to you. >> sarah dallof live for us in boston. >>> this morning, 45 flights have been canceled out of boston including some that were headed here. t

msnbc's sarah dallof is joining me. what is in store?er: snow, sleet and freezing rain for a lot of parts in this area. for some they are going to see temperatures warming up which is good news after the past 24 hours that people have had. here they have received about 2 1/2 inches of snow on average in february. if you look around behind me you can see that they have topped that easily 6 to 8 inches in this latest storm. and take a look at it. this is heavy, wet snow. this is not your typical fluffy stuff. it's great for packing snowballs but if you're tasked with clearing the light rail behind me, it's a lot of work and very heavy snow. it's a similar story up and down the east coast and down into the south. this extreme weather, get a taste of this schools are canceled and they have been dealing with this all winter these record amounts of snow and extreme weather. so they are beginning to tire for them it seems like winter is never going to end. people are urged to stay off the roads and, as you can see behind me, they are adhering t
