sarah faris joins us to discuss the budget talks ahead of the government funding deadline. what is the status of the talks? sarah: they have been working for weeks on the budget caps deal. they had been coming slowly closer towards an agreement on defense and domestic spending but holding everything up is the immigration debate that has been ongoing and grabbed headlines this week. we basically won't know how much the government will spend next year until -- this year until we see something on dreamers because that is what democrats say they need to have you for the go-ahead with the budget deal. >> what has been helping in terms of coming together, getting members together to avert a government shutdown? one of the actions they had been taking to avert a government shutdown? sarah: they don't really have to convince their members of the shutdown is bad. both parties are pretty much foring, have been working months. the reason they keep going with staff -- stopgap after stopgap is they don't want to see an actual lapse in funding. is gettingthing enough republicans on board
