let's go live now to tokyo and sarah mulkerrins has the latest. us in on the men's triathlon. it has certainly been an entertaining morning here in tokyo because the triathlon took place just below us here in tokyo bay to my left—hand side and that is where the swim started. they had a false start. plenty of drama. half of the triathletes move in but there was another half being blocked by a boat so they could not start. they had to bring those swimmers back. they all got back up and then restarted and then they went through the race. a 1500 metres swim and then a transition area where they hop on their bites and go out on the streets around tokyo for a0 kilometres, they come back in, dump the bikes and have a ten kilometre run. that was 630 in the morning because, we know, heat is a big issue here but those three athletes out in front, kristian blummenfelt is the one who won. three broke away on the run and then kristian blummenfelt put on the sprint to finish ahead. he is a former track runner so that strength really paid off. he struggled when h
