sarah murray joins me now.ury -- poison the jury on this decision? >> as you pointed out, the jury is not sequestered. these are normal human beings who go home and if they turn on the television or pick up a newspaper, they will see the president's comments saying this is very sad. that said, the jury got ex-policeit instructions from the judge about what they are supposed to consider when weighing this decision. what they are supposed to take into account and on that list of factors is not how does the president feel about the way this trial should turn out. the president always felt this was a witch hunt. we have seen him talk publicly. what happens to jurors if they go home over the weekend and could it sway their decision? >> was it the judge's decision not to sequester them? >> there has been no move to sequester them. you could have had that at the beginning. there was no effort to do that and the judge didn't have concern about sending them home over the weekend. >> i'm not going to ask you to read tea

we're joined by sarah murray. sarah -- omarosa saying that she's been interviewed by the special counsel. in our experience the special counsel does not waste his time either with witnesses or questioning, why would he want to talk to her? >> we really don't have a good sense of what she might've shared with the special counsel. she wasn't particularly forthcoming about that in any of her interviews. she did suggest in that nbc interview that she believed that then candidate trump knew about these hacked clinton emails before they were ever public. she didn't offer up anything to substantiate that, but if that is something that she has proof of, something she has evidence of, that's the kind of thing that obviously the special counsel would be interested in hearing more about. we don't have incite into that. >> she's not the first person to say that. michael cohen has claims that he knows that to be true. another point -- interesting interview with kristen davis, long time associate of roger stone, presidential adv

i want to talk about this with cnn's sarah murray and cnn legal analyst shan wu. h, explain what the lawmakers on capitol hill are looking to get from this justice department lawyer. >> i think part of the reason they're so interested in bruce ohr is because he did have this contact with christopher steele. he's this ex-british spy who assembled the now infamous dossier which has all these salacious allegations against then-president elect trump. many of these are unproven. we've seen this has been especially politicized on the house side among those committees. this whole investigation has been. i think they're looking for any kind of indication that bruce ohr is one of these justice department officials who had it out for the president, who's trying to get anything on him from day one. but we have some excellent reporting on our cnn digital site today with all these people who have worked with bruce ohr who are shocked this guy has ended up in the middle of this. he's been the target of republicans. he's been the target of president trump. they're saying this guy

sarah murray is here with some answers. you have been digging into this story.hat have you learned? >> we know that the special counsel has been circling around roger stone, they still haven't contacted him directly. so we're seeing all these former associates and friends speak to thesome's team or testify before the grand jury. but andrew miller has decided with the help of his legal team that he wants to mount this constitutional fight. he wants to try to take on mueller's authority to oversee this investigation and his lawyers say they are prepared to this to the supreme court. he is an interesting case because he is just a regular guy, a 34-year-old, for a while living in california where he was working as a pot farmer. he recently decided to move his family, his wife, young daughter, back to st. louis where he was born and raised. and he has been working as a house painter there and pretty much laying low, letting his lawyers fight this battle on his behalf. but he's skipped out on his grabbed ju grand jury appearance, he is being held in contempt and we're

sarah murray, cnn, washington. >> let's talk more about it with the chief diplomatic correspondent for the new york sometimes dig urhlinger. let's begin right there, developmentings in the mueller investigation in the u.s. now we have it turning to a woman that ran a prostitution ring and went to jail. she met with the special counsel. in the world of twists and turns in this investigation, how would you characterize this one? >> well, it gets tawdrier and tawdrier, doesn't it? it's like the jaws of justice like being caught in a meat grinder. obviously, mueller is trying to put pressure on stone. that's the whole point. much as he's tried to do with manafort and others. the way he did it with michael cohen. you get them on all kind of issues. then you promise them unity if they're willing to testify about what really interests you. but my guess is, that this whole episode, though, obviously, i don't know for sure, is aimed at convincing stone to talk to mueller about his relationship with julian assange, because stone has obviously you reported him denying any collusion. he did have a
